The Region

The Peninsula of Maraú is Paradise on Earth.

An ecological sanctuary within a natural reserve protected by law – the Maraú APA (Área de Proteção Ambiental). It features some of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil.

Among its 60 kilometers of continous beaches, with many natural swimming pools formed by living coral barriers, centenary coconut palm trees, native Atlantic forest, beautiful sightseeing points and fresh water lagoons.

It is part of the third largest bay of Brazil – The Camamu Bay – with its 49 islands, some of which with small fishermen’s communities.

Maraú has an advantage of being a safe haven on Brazilian coastline: its gentle local community, which is gifted with a gastronomic vocation, and the ongoing efforts by those who have invested on the Peninsula guarantee absolute tranquility and safety throughout the year.
